Dr. Shazia Ramzan, Dean, Faculty of Arts Humanities, emphasized photography’s role in inspiring creativity in youth by helping them explore modern visual storytelling.
Photography is not only an art, Photography is also a way to safeguard our heritage, tell untold stories, and define our creative perspective, she said. Also, she highlighted its role in the modern economy, pointing out that photography offers diverse opportunities in freelancing, content creation, and media industries.
Dr. Faireha Ghaffar agreed, calling on students to seize the opportunity of the workshop. This is not just a class meeting, but the beginning of bringing a creative profession into being a productive profession to live, “she said.

The workshop was led by Sajawal Fareed, a UAF graduate and professional photographer. His sessions bridged theory and practice. For instance, he provided foundational knowledge in photography and shared practical tips to refine each participant’s skills.
